Elissa R Mandel, MS, CCC-SLP, ASDCS, is a trailblazing speech language pathologist and autism spectrum clinical specialist. She has spent decades helping children who were told they would never talk or live independently develop the skills needed to communicate and thrive.
As a late diagnosed neurodivergent entrepreneur who personally experienced challenges with communication and daily living, she brings both clinical expertise and lived understanding to her work, giving families insight that goes beyond traditional therapy.
Specializing in motor planning and auditory processing, Elissa focuses on the foundational systems required for speech to emerge. She teaches parents how to build these developmental pathways step by step using progressive and targeted strategies that support how the brain and body work together for communication. When these underlying skills are addressed in the right sequence, children are able to make meaningful and often rapid progress.
After working one on one with thousands of children, Elissa recognized critical gaps in traditional approaches to speech therapy. She transformed her proven hands on methods into a scalable model so families everywhere could access the same level of guidance once only available in private sessions.
She is the founder of Speech Works by Elissa, a global program now supporting thousands of families worldwide. Through her work, parents gain the knowledge, structure, and tools to help their non speaking or speech delayed children build communication, independence, and meaningful connection.
